Made it to California last night, and stayed in Barstow. It was not our best day together, but we made it! Yesterday's scenery was beautiful - hope you all enjoyed the pictures. From the very flat lands of Texas to the mountains of Arizona (we were at 7,000 feet), we had quite a day. We went thru the Mojave Desert last night in the dark so we weren't able to see any of that.
When we were unloading the car, we saw a woman walking towards us that had a "VT" jacket on, and I made some comment to her about a Hokie being all the way out here on the West coast. She said, well, we are from North Carolina, and came to find out they are from Raleigh!
Time to hit the road!
