Day 2 Mom talks

Recap of yesterday: looong day! We didn't make any sightseeing stops because we wanted to get to Memphis. The stop in Nashville didn;t work out so we just kept moving. As Patrick mentioned last night, we had a yummy dinner at Rendezvous and then hit Beale Street. We got back to the hotel and were getting ready for bed when the ceiling in our bathroom started leaking - a lot! We had to change rooms, and finally got to bed. We had a nice wake-up call when someone,s car alarm. went off early this morning. not once but twice! After exercising and and showering, we hit the road for another long day. It was raining when we left, but has since stopped. After a late breakfast at Cracker Barrel we stopped in Little Rock and checked out the Clinton Presidential Library and the AR State Capitol. AR is not the most beautiful state I have seen, but Little Rock wasn,t bad. Pictures will be posted tonight. We have NC and TN down and about 100 miles to go in AR. Our plan is to stop in Oklahoma City late this afternoon and then make it to Amarilla, TX tonight. Looks like we are going to hit snow later this week - not looking forward to that. So far, Patrick and I are getting along ok. I think he is very glad not to be making this trip alone! Time to listen to our book for a bit...will try to update after OKC.
