This morning we docked in Bordeaux and in a word - HOT!! The temps are in the high 90's and it is pretty miserable to be outside. We cruised up the Garinne River this morning and it was beautiful. We had a delicious breakfast in the Grand Dining Room and then headed out to explore the city. We had some delicious crepes (I had a Nutella and Dad had caramel) with champagne for me and Chardonnay for Dad. They were delicious!!
We were then back to the boat for the tour of the city which was AWFUL! We left the tour and did some more exploring on our own. We came back to the boat and enjoyed afternoon tea. Now it is time for happy hour! We have decided to stay on the boat for dinner since it is so hot outside.
Oh, I have thought from the beginning of this trip that we were with some goobers. Well, that was confirmed this morning. Some of the folks from Kentucky pronounced the name of this city "Bore Ducks". Yes, you read it right! Unbelievable!!
With that, I am going to get ready for dinner!
