A Day in Bilbao

We docked early in Bilbao but did not leave for our excursion until 1:00 pm so we had a relaxing morning on the boat.  After a workout in the fitness center, we had breakfast in the Grand Dining Room was very good and I think we will be going back. 😊
The first stop on our tour was the Guggenhein Museum which is only one of three in the world.  We did not go inside but had the opportunity to take pictures of the outside sculptures and in particular the puppy!  Dad posted a picture on Facebook and I will send some separately.  According to our tour guide the Guggenheim Museum has revitalized the city. They do still have a 13% unemployment rate so I hate to think what it was before!
Our tour included a stop for tapas however our tour guide called them "pinchers"  since they pinch them in their left hand while holding a wine glass in their right hand.  I think I like that term and am going to use it from here on out!
Back to the boat and time for happy hour. 😊. We had dinner delivered to our suite and it was so nice to have just the two of us.  Our butler asked if we would like to have coffee delivered to our room tomorrow morning and we said, oh, that would be nice.  I am getting spoiled by this butler!
It is 9:22 and still daylight. We would love to sit out on our balcony but it is so windy that we are sitting in our suite watching the sun set.  It will be at least an hour before the sun sets!
We are on our way to Bordeaux - so excited!!  We dock at 9:45 tomorrow morning and head out for wine country tomorrow afternoon.  Stay tuned.....
