Alright, I know I am slacking, but had some technical difficulties yesterday. I couldn't find the car charger for my phone so I had to turn my phone off in order to save the battery. What that means is that I couldn't post during the day yesterday and we didn't get in until midnight (Mountain time). I found the car charger so I promise that today will be better :)
Yesterday started early (4:45 am) with some noisy neighbors at the Hampton Inn in Coralville, IA (right next door to Iowa City). I think they thought they were the only guests in the hotel. We traveled through Iowa, Nebraska and all the way to Rawlins, WY yesterday. Iowa showed us windmills and corn fields, Nebraska was flat with corn, corn and more corn and the scenery changed in Wyoming with nothing for miles and some hills. We did make a stop yesterday in Omaha, Nebraska, the birthplace of President Gerald Ford. It took us a while, but we finally found the site. It was very nice, but is in need of some work. Other than that, we just stopped for gas, bathroom breaks and food.
Time to get on the road - I promise to post today. Also, we have lots of pictures, and I am going to have Patrick help me with that tonight. I am SO looking forward to seeing Patrick tonight!!!
